Bradford Derustit is a family-owned chemical manufacturer focused on stainless steel pickling, passivation, and metal cleaning products. Our formulations are used in welding, machining, fabrication, food processing, auto repair, and other industrial environments where corrosion and surface contamination cannot be tolerated. We manufacture in the United States and are committed to keeping it that way.
Retired U.S. Navy chemical engineer Albert T. Squire developed the original SS-3 liquid stainless steel cleaner and began producing it with his wife, Lois. He later transformed the liquid into a gel, which Lois named Wonder Gel for its performance on stainless steel. That original formula still anchors our product line today as the company continues under third-generation leadership, alongside solutions for other metals such as brass and bronze.
What we make
- Wonder Gel — stainless pickling gel that removes heat tint, rust, and contamination while restoring the passive chromium oxide layer (passivation).
- Derustit SS-3 Liquid — the same formula as Wonder Gel without the thickening agent, better for dipping or spraying.
- Derustit SS-3 Paste — a controlled paste formulation for targeted stainless cleaning and passivation.
- B-P No.1 Brightner — metal brightener for brass and bronze applications.
- B-P Metal Cleaner — rust oxide remover for a range of metal surfaces.
- Passivation Test Kit — verification tools for stainless passivation results.
